Although Joey Ortega’s tattoo designs are within the traditional genre, the artist considers his work to be more stylized and with depth—therefore categorized as “Neo-Traditional.” Ortega is inspired by Japanese art, Art Nouveau, Mexican folk art, iconography, and antique items.
